Carol shared a story in her personal statement about Operation Care and Comfort in the city of San Jose. This organization puts care packages together for our troops overseas. The organization is close to Carol as she has bonded with the people she works with no matter if they are a widow sharing a story or military personnel trying to make a difference. Mr. Ponomarenko is Carol's professional figure skating coach and he shares that “she puts 101% effort in everything she does." Her enthusiasm is very contagious. She is generous and thoughtful. Together Carol and her Coach developed a spin called "the flower" and this is how he sees her. Carol plans on studying French at her #1 college choice at the University of Chicago.
