Joseph is vice president of CSF at Palos Verdes High School and his resume has a truly impressive list of CSF activities. A competitive tennis player, Joseph uses his practice of transcendental meditation to help overcome the frustrations of life - and flagrantly bad calls. Four years ago, Joseph volunteered to spend a single day teaching tennis in Watts and it changed his life. Peace4Kids works to improve the outcomes for foster youth in South Los Angeles through creative interventions, activity based programs and mentorship. Joseph is the only Core volunteer that is under the age of eighteen. Executive Director Zaid Gayle explains that "Joseph has shown a strong ability to lead and make incredible choices under duress." When he attends Stanford next year he will be sorely missed.
