Madison Rose Vlay, 2012 Seymour Award Finalist
Madison comes to us from Westmont high school in Campbell where she is co-president of her CSF chapter. She is involved in the Westmont Club Faire, Rebuilding Together Peninsula, and the Loaves and Fishes Soup Kitchen. Madison is also a Life crew Leader, Page editor for the school newspaper and helps with the American cancer society - "Bark for life event" which includes dogs. She was a Volleyball player for 3 years and is now a cheerleader for her school.
Ms. Walton, her CSF advisor, shares that Madison has "participated in a variety of activities where they were working to refurbish needy communities and shelters. She is truly committed to serving those less fortunate. Ms. Ash, from the BP Nordstrom Valley Fairs, shares that she is a very dedicated and a positive leader. Madison shares in her personal statement that as she reflects on her CSF journey that "she gained the confidence to assert herself and become a true leader. She has become comfortable exercising her knowledge and personality in order to achieve anything she sets her mind to." Madison shares that Journalism and Fashion are her overwhelming passions. I am sure she will be successful as she majors in Broadcast Journalism at her #1 college of choice: USC
