Natasha Berlin Guaracha, 2012 Seymour Award Finalist
Natasha comes to us from Monte Vista Christian HS in Hollister where she holds the office of President for her CSF Chapter. She is also a vocalist in her schools chorus, chamber choir and Master's voice ensemble. She is also involved with GED tutoring at Watsonville Adult Education program, captain of the golf team and homecoming queen. She has been recognized by receiving the Monte vista academic leadership scholarship, the David Award, The national Jr. Philanthropy Day Award, the DAR (Daughters of the American Revolution) and my favorite the San Juan Bautista Chicken Queen Scholarship Award.
Ms. Waldinger, her CSF advisor, says that Natasha's presents motivates others to get involved and be excited about whatever the CSF cause may be. Natasha founded the Cinderella Project which helps girls in the community to have the opportunity to attend their prom. Mr. West of the Granite Rock Company says that "she has been an asset to the community in many ways. She involves herself in countless hours of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, San Benito Health Foundation and the old mission San Juan Bautista to name a few." Mr. West is humbled to be around Natasha. Natasha says in her personal statement that she is known as "the volunteer". She says volunteering is magical because 1 small act of kindness can make an immense impact. I know we will hear more about Natasha as she majors in Biology at her #1 college choice of Biola.
