Gina Tran, Youth Services Faith Formation Teacher at Saints Simon & Jude Catholic Church, writes of Ross, a senior at Edison High School, "Ross embodies character traits that are unique and rare to see in people his age. His strong leadership skills and powerful determination to accomplish all his goals makes it easy to notice how he stands out from his peers." She says, "Ross' dedication and commitment to his CSF chapter and community have made him a significant and well-known figure in our community."
Jason Jackson, adviser of chapter 893s, calls Ross "the most organized officer he has had the pleasure of advising." Active in and committed to his chapter, Ross is always sharing new ideas to improve the chapter. One of these ideas was a set of local college visits this year, which many attended. Mr. Jackson writes, "Ross has established himself as one of the strongest philanthropists in our school and continues to inspire and encourage others to take initiative as well."
Writes Ross in his personal statement, "Over the past four years I have developed a strong connection with CSF by prioritizing the organization to be one of the most important elements of my high school career." As the current President, Ross set a goal of making the club as active and successful as possible, and has coordinated many service events to achieve that goal. Writes Ross, "I value contributing to one's community to the best of one’s ability..." Deciding between colleges such as UC Irvine, CalTech, Harvard and Dartmouth, Ross plans to major in microbiology & immunology with the hope of becoming a Cardio Thoracic surgeon and working to prevent & treat disease.
