Coming to us from Willits High School, Chapter 232 in Willits, Tom's CSF advisor, Gwen Rassmussen states that Tom has, "set the bar high for other students." She has a policy that if student miss class for a school activity, they must turn in their assignments before leaving school. Tom has been so conscientious about this that if other students fail to turn in an assignment and she asks why they didn't turn it in, the answer she often gets is, "Because I'm not Tom."
Jeff Judson has known Tom for twelve years and attests that Tom is a young man of strong character and integrity who strives to achieve his goals. Tom credits his family for influencing him in the formation of his character, as well as showing him that he needs to work diligently to create the most opportunities for his future.
Patiently waiting for an acceptance letter from the University of California at Berkeley, Tom hopes to pursue a career with NASA.
